Get a Free Website, SEO and Digital Marketing Growth Audit

When enquiries slow down, every part of your marketing can look guilty.
The website feels dated. Google rankings could be better. Ads are spending money without making the phone ring. Social media is busy, but nobody can show which activity helped create a sale.
It is tempting to fix the most visible thing first. That can mean paying for a redesign when the real problem is weak traffic, or buying more clicks when the landing page is losing the visitors you already have.
A growth audit should help you find the constraint before you choose the service.
Why review the whole journey together?
Website, SEO and marketing reports are often assessed separately. Customers do not experience them separately.
They search or see an advert, choose a result, land on a page, decide whether they trust it and take — or abandon — the next step. A problem anywhere in that chain can make the channel before it look ineffective.
For example:
- a useful service page cannot generate search enquiries if it is not indexed;
- a well-targeted advert cannot rescue a confusing landing page;
- a strong website cannot convert people who arrived for the wrong reason; and
- a form completion is not a commercial win if nobody follows it up.
That is why the review starts with the business outcome, not a tool score.
What we look at on your website
The first question is simple: can the right visitor understand what you offer, trust the business and take a sensible next step?
The public website review considers:
- whether the opening message explains the service and intended customer;
- whether important services are easy to find on desktop and mobile;
- whether proof, process and contact details answer normal trust questions;
- whether calls to action match the visitor's stage;
- whether forms and contact routes create unnecessary friction; and
- whether obvious speed, layout or accessibility problems interrupt the journey.
This is not a redesign exercise by default. Sometimes the right recommendation is to repair a page, clarify an offer or shorten a form. Our guide to why website traffic does not become enquiries explains the conversion side in more detail.
What we check for SEO
SEO is not a hunt for the largest number of warnings. We look for problems that could stop important pages from being found, understood or chosen.
The initial review may include:
- whether key pages appear accessible to search engines;
- titles, descriptions, headings and page intent;
- canonical, sitemap and obvious indexing signals;
- internal links between useful pages;
- mobile experience and visible performance concerns; and
- whether the content answers the way a potential customer searches.
If you have access to Google Search Console, its performance data can add useful context about impressions, clicks and the queries connected to each page. Google explains how those metrics are counted in its Search Console performance documentation.
Our ten-problem SEO audit checklist goes deeper into the technical and content issues that may be hiding on an otherwise functional website.
What we examine in digital marketing
More activity is not necessarily more growth. We look for the connection between the audience, the message, the landing page and the commercial outcome.
That means asking:
- Which services or products are you trying to grow?
- Who should the campaign reach, and what do they need at that moment?
- Does each campaign send people to a relevant next page?
- Are useful actions measured with consent and interpreted honestly?
- Can the business distinguish a qualified enquiry from a low-value lead?
- Who follows up, and how does the outcome return to the marketing decision?
If your reports are full but decisions are still vague, read is your digital marketing generating revenue — or just reports?. If you are choosing a channel from scratch, website, SEO or Google Ads: where should you invest first? gives you a practical sequence.
What to send for the initial audit
Start with information you are comfortable sharing:
- your public website address;
- the service, product or location you most want to grow;
- where enquiries appear to come from today;
- the main problem as you see it; and
- any relevant context about recent changes or campaigns.
Do not send passwords, private customer records or secret API keys. If deeper access would genuinely help later, the scope, permissions and safe sharing method should be agreed first.
What you should expect back
The useful output is a short, prioritised view of what deserves attention — not a long export of everything a tool can flag.
We separate observations into three practical groups:
| Priority | What it means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Fix first | A problem blocks discovery, trust, conversion or reliable measurement | An important page cannot be indexed or a form fails on mobile |
| Improve next | The journey works, but a clear weakness limits performance | An advert and landing page promise different things |
| Validate before spending | More evidence is needed before recommending a large change | Traffic quality is unclear, so a rebuild would be premature |
The initial audit may lead to a deeper technical review, content work, campaign changes, a focused website improvement — or no immediate project at all. The purpose is to choose the next investigation or investment more intelligently.
What a free audit cannot prove
A responsible audit has limits.
Public pages cannot reveal every issue inside analytics, advertising accounts, a CRM or a private application. A quick review cannot guarantee future rankings, enquiry volume or revenue. It cannot replace professional legal advice, a formal accessibility assessment or an authorised security test.
Be wary of an “audit” that discovers the same urgent solution for every business. The recommendation should follow the evidence, even when that evidence says to measure first or leave a working system alone.
How the audit and consultation work together
The growth audit is the structured public-surface review that informs our free 45-minute digital growth consultation. During that conversation, we explain the priorities, add the business context a public website cannot show and discuss the sensible next step.
That may lead to SEO website design, digital marketing, a smaller repair, a deeper investigation or no immediate project. The recommendation should follow the evidence rather than force every business towards the same service.
And sometimes the audit uncovers a product or operational bottleneck rather than a marketing one. If the real need is software, use MVP or full product: what should you build first? to decide how much of that solution belongs in the first release.

Share your website and the result you want to improve. We'll review the visible customer journey and help you identify what deserves attention first.
You do not need another dashboard telling you that everything could be better. You need to know which problem is most likely to be holding growth back, what evidence supports that conclusion and what a sensible next step looks like.
