Introduction

Maker Web ("Maker Web", "we", "us" or "our") is a brand of NativeBee Solutions, an India-based web design and digital marketing business. We are responsible for the personal data collected through makerweb.in (the "Website") and our enquiry forms.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, who receives it, and the choices available to you. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 have phased commencement dates; we apply their requirements as and when they become applicable to us.

When we process personal data on behalf of a client while delivering a project, the client generally decides the purpose and means of that processing. The document-priority rules below explain when project-specific privacy terms apply.

Which Privacy Document Applies

This Privacy Policy governs personal data collected through general Website visits, enquiry forms and other interactions that are not covered by an applicable project-specific privacy document.

If an accepted project-specific privacy notice, data-processing agreement or equivalent document applies to personal data processed within a particular project, that document takes priority over this Privacy Policy only for that project data and only where the documents conflict. This Privacy Policy continues to apply where the project-specific document is silent or outside its stated scope.

If there is no applicable project-specific privacy document, this Privacy Policy governs our handling of the relevant personal data. Applicable law and rights that cannot legally be limited or waived take priority over both.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us:

• Enquiries and communications — your name, email address, optional phone number, service of interest, subject, message, and information you send by email or WhatsApp.
• Client and transaction records — contact details, business information, project communications, proposals, approvals, invoices and payment status when you engage us. Please do not send card details or passwords through the enquiry form.
• Technical and security data — IP address, browser and device information, referring page, access time, request details, consent-region country lookup, and bot-prevention signals processed through hosting logs, rate limiting, Cloudflare Turnstile and the AiSensy widget.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal data for these limited purposes:

• To respond to enquiries and provide requested quotes, information or services.
• To deliver, manage and support an engagement and send operational messages such as approvals, invoices and security notices.
• To send promotional messages only where you have asked for them or they are otherwise permitted; you can opt out without affecting essential service messages.
• To operate and secure the Website, prevent spam and abuse, troubleshoot problems and understand basic service performance.
• To maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, protect legal rights and comply with applicable law.

Consent and Other Permitted Processing

Where consent is required, we request it for a stated purpose and allow you to withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out and may prevent us from providing a requested service. We may also process data for uses permitted without consent by applicable law, including responding to a communication you voluntarily initiate, complying with legal obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The light/dark theme control stores only your selected value ("light" or "dark") in first-party browser storage under "makerweb-theme". This essential preference stays in your browser, contains no account or contact details, and is available before analytics consent so the page can open in your chosen theme without flashing the wrong colours.

If you are visiting from the EU, UK, EEA or Switzerland, a banner asks you to accept or decline analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity before they load — they do not run before you choose or if you decline. Elsewhere, analytics tools load by default to help us understand and improve our Website. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.

To decide which consent experience applies, the Website first requests a country-level lookup from ipwho.is. If that lookup fails or is inconclusive, it requests Cloudflare’s diagnostic service at cloudflare.com as a fallback and reads only the country code from the response. Each provider necessarily receives your IP address when your browser contacts it; we do not use either lookup for advertising or store its response. If both lookups fail or are inconclusive, analytics stays off and the opt-in banner is shown.

Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, traffic sources and general usage patterns, and may process your IP address, browser and device information. You can also opt out at any time using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies and third-party scripts through your browser settings.

Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session replay — an anonymised reconstruction of how visitors move through pages (clicks, scrolls and mouse movement) — to help us find and fix usability problems. Like Google Analytics, it loads only after you accept, and it masks the content you type into form fields by default.

Our hosting platform may use essential technical storage and retains standard server logs. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and device signals to distinguish people from bots and may use short-lived technical identifiers or storage depending on its configuration — this is necessary for the contact form to function and is not gated by the cookie banner.

The AiSensy chat integration is loaded across the Website and may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. If you open WhatsApp or send a message, AiSensy and WhatsApp also process the account details and message data involved in that interaction. Blocking cookies or third-party scripts may disable the contact form or chat feature.

If we add further analytics tools later, they will be governed by the same consent choice described above, and we will update this section to name them and explain what they do.

Third-Party Services and Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only where needed to operate our business, deliver a requested service, protect legal rights or comply with law:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC) — analyses Website traffic and usage patterns; subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation, USA) — heatmap and session-replay analytics showing how visitors use the site; loaded only after consent, subject to Microsoft’s privacy terms.
• ZeptoMail (Zoho Corporation, India) — delivers contact-form submissions to our business inbox.
• Cloudflare — provides Turnstile validation for contact-form bot and spam prevention and, only if the primary ipwho.is lookup fails or is inconclusive, a diagnostic endpoint used for the fallback country-level consent decision.
• ipwho.is — performs the primary country-level lookup used to choose the regional analytics-consent experience; contacted before analytics loads.
• AiSensy and WhatsApp (Meta) — provide the site-wide WhatsApp contact widget and process related technical data and, when you interact with it, WhatsApp account details and messages under their own policies.
• HubForHost (also part of NativeBee Solutions) — hosts the Website in India and processes standard web-server logs.
• Professional advisers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or a successor to our business — only when reasonably necessary for professional advice, a legal obligation, a legal claim or a legitimate business transfer.

International Data Transfers

Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, ipwho.is, AiSensy, WhatsApp and their subprocessors may process some data outside India. Where an international transfer occurs, we comply with applicable Indian law, including any country or territory restrictions notified by the Central Government and any stricter sector-specific requirements that apply. We also assess the relevant provider terms and safeguards.

International Visitors

Maker Web works with clients around the world, not only in India. This Privacy Policy is written primarily with reference to India’s DPDP Act because we are based in India and the Website is operated from here. Where you are visiting from a country with its own data-protection law, such as the EU/UK GDPR, we aim to honour that law’s standards for you specifically, including its approach to cookie consent (see "Cookies and Similar Technologies" above) and the rights listed under "Your Choices and Rights" below.

Links to Other Websites

Our Website and communications may link to client, partner or other third-party websites. Their operators control their content and privacy practices, so you should review their policies before providing information.

Data Retention

We retain unsuccessful enquiry records only while useful for response and follow-up, normally no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Client communications and project records are generally kept for the engagement and a reasonable limitation period afterwards. Contracts, invoices and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.

Contact-form rate-limit entries older than approximately one hour are no longer used, and stale files are periodically removed. Hosting, email-delivery, Turnstile, AiSensy and WhatsApp records follow our configured retention periods or the relevant provider’s retention terms. We may retain specific records longer where reasonably needed for security, a dispute, a legal hold or compliance. At the end of the applicable period, we delete or anonymise the data where reasonably practicable.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, access controls, bot protection, input validation, rate limiting, and keeping credentials outside publicly accessible server areas. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law and its commencement provisions — including, for visitors it covers, the EU/UK GDPR — you may ask us to:

• Provide a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it (a right of access).
• Correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data (a right of rectification).
• Erase data that is no longer required (a right to erasure).
• Restrict or object to certain processing, where applicable law provides for this.
• Receive a copy of data you have provided to us in a portable format, where applicable law provides for this.
• Withdraw consent or opt out of promotional communications.
• Record a nomination for exercise of applicable rights in the event of death or incapacity.
• Address a grievance about our handling of your data (see "Grievance Redressal" below).

Exercising a Privacy Request

Email privacy@makerweb.in and describe your request. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. Some requests may be limited where retention or processing is required by law, necessary for a legal claim, or otherwise permitted by applicable law. We will explain our response and available grievance route.

Children’s Data

The Website is intended for people seeking business services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, providers or our practices. We will publish the revised policy with a new effective date and give prominent or direct notice where a change materially affects how we use personal data. Where fresh consent is required, we will request it rather than treating continued browsing as consent.
